Our pets are what we feed them
With all the online nutrition guru’s, AI experts, marketing speak hiding dubious contents and advertising promising untested results and illusions, it is very easy to be confused and concerned about our own, and our pet’s health and well-being.
So, let’s keep it simple, based on solid research and our over 20 years’ experience in animal nutrition. What are the essential components required for optimum health for our “furbabies”?
Exercise: Regular and consistent exercise is essential for the health of both us, and our pets. It keeps the blood flow going strengthening the heart and lungs, increases our metabolism, stimulates digestion, encourages deep breathing and releases “happy hormones” and endorphins into our bloodstream.
Love and affection: Attention, acknowledgement and affection, whichever way we express it, is also essential for the emotional and mental well-being of your animals and ourselves.
A balanced diet and effective nutrition: Our, and our pets bodies are created with the capacity to heal, and regenerate, but they can only do this if they have the tools to do so.
Although you can tighten a screw with a spoon, it is so much more effective to use an electric screwdriver. Just so, our bodies will make the best of what they receive, but the better the input, the more effective and long-lasting the output.

Of course added to all this is a good probiotic (preferably with live beneficial bacteria).
Then one has to consider if the minimum or maximum content allowed by law is in the food or if indeed in the sufficient amounts, or has it degraded over time, due to processing.
Last, but most certainly not least, is the animals “life stage nutrition”, puppies, adults and senior dogs have different needs, as well as breed specific needs, working dogs and breeding dogs.
Time to scrutinise the food labels and or call the manufacturers to make sure that you are happy you are doing the very best for your animal.
The owners’ eye is what judges the pets condition and improvements should become apparent within 10-14 days.
